A New film has been released documenting New Yorks music and art scene between 1977 - 85. Deborah Harry narrates the doc which touches on The Paradise Garage club and the emergence of Hip Hop to name but a few.
Guest appearances form Arthur Baker, Jazzy Jay and Mos Def dissect the creative things happening at this time against the back drop of all the problems NYC had.
The trailer looks amazing and I can’t wait to see the whole film….
Downtown Calling will be shown around the UK so check local listings for times
